  9. Thank you for taking the time to download our product demo.  This
  10. is a full working version of our product with the save features
  11. disabled.  We hope you enjoy it.  If you have any comments or

  14. Requirements for use:  Any Atari Computer with Newdesk
  15.                        (generally this means a Mega STe,
  16.                         TT, ST Book, etc...)
  17.                        
  18.                        Atari's Extensible Control Panel
  19.                        (named XCONTROL.ACC, available
  20.                         on GENIE, Compuserve, or your
  21.                         local dealer)

  23. Installation:  Simply copy the file ICONDEMO.CPX into your
  24.                folder of CPX's and either reboot or instruct
  25.                the control panel to reload CPX's as directed
  26.                in the control panels' instructions.  If this
  27.                CPX does not appear you may need to increase
  28.                the maximum number of CPX's loadable in the
  29.                control panels' setup dialog.

  31. Usage:  This program is very self-explanatory.  Upon selecting
  32.         it, it will attempt to load C:\DESKICON.RSC.  If the
  33.         file does not exist it will display a file not found
  34.         error and will then 'grey' out many of the options.
  35.         You can still load icons under the menu option 'OTHER'.
  36.         The check mark in the lower-left corner will allow you
  37.         to preview your icons.  The 'C' button in the lower-right
  38.         allows you to toggle an icon character on or off (like
  39.         the drive identifier on a disk drive icon).  To place
  40.         the icon character move the mouse over the drawing area,
  41.         press and hold the right mouse button and then press and 
  42.         hold the left mouse button.  A box will appear which you
  43.         can then place by releasing both mouse buttons.  More
  44.         information about the program can be obtained by clicking
  45.         on the title line.  Both save features are disabled in
  46.         this demo version.  Have fun experimenting with the rest
  47.         of the features.
